Our People
The Sugi difference lies in our people, our supply chain, and our commitment to providing the highest-quality timber products to the New Zealand market.
Every piece of timber is sourced and hand-selected by our team in Japan before shipping to New Zealand. At our Tauranga mill, the timber is graded again before being processed, detailed and finished ready for delivery.
With over 75 years of combined experience across timber sourcing, processing and construction, our team understands what quality looks like at every stage — from the mill floor in Japan to the finished product on site in New Zealand.
